This week, we are continuing the study and discussion of the encyclical letter Lumen Fidei (The Light of Faith) written by Pope Benedict XVI and finished by Pope Francis. The encyclical highlights Christian faith as the guiding light of a successful and fruitful life. After the study, we will socialize at a nearby restaurant.

Catholic Connect T-shirts

We are getting ready to order Catholic Connect t-shirts. They will say “Got Community?” on the front, with the “O” replaced with a host, and the “Y” replaced with a chalice. The back will have the Catholic Connect logo and our website address, and will say “Connecting Young Catholics in Grand Rapids.” The price will be $11. If you would like one, please email or let Marie or Victoria know. Please let us know by May 15 if you would like a t-shirt or if you are willing to help fund for a few extra shirts. Payments are due to Victoria by May 15, as well.

Join us for dinner at 6 PM at Mr. Burger Restaurant, 2101 Lake Michigan Dr NW Grand Rapids, MI 49504, across the street from Holy Spirit Parish! At 7 PM, we will begin our formation study at Holy Spirit Parish, in the Youth and Young Adult Room.

We will be continuing with The Second Greatest Story Ever Told series. In this vastly popular talk, Fr. Gaitley describes the “second greatest story ever told” – a story that encompasses Divine Mercy, the life of St. Pope John Paul II, and the crucial role that Marian Consecration can play in your life. Fr. Michael Gaitley is a priest in the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception and the director for the formation for the Marian Missionaries of Divine Mercy. Come join us for this exciting study of Divine Mercy and Marian Consecration! Even if you’ve missed the first few sessions, you can still join in and learn something! Afterwards, we will socialize at a nearby restaurant.
